I met Teresa and her husband over 2
years ago. I was interested in finding a puppy I could train
for search and rescue. After researching the German Shepard
breed and decided that was my dog, I started searching for a
Kansas breeder. I found Teresa through the internet and
finally arranged to go see a litter of puppies. I was so
impressed with her dogs. They were beautiful and
dispositions were wonderful Her kennels were immaculate.
I knew I had to have one of her puppies. I waited for a
litter to be born out of Frenzi and by Argus. I was so
thrilled when I picked out my male. He is so intelligent and
a beautiful dog. He is now a year old. I couldn't have
picked a more intelligent dog. He has been a joy to work
with. We are just beginning to train with search and rescue
and he is doing great. I am going to purchase a female when
time allows and I will be purchasing from Teresa.

My
dream dog is Rin Tin Tin. Only you who are in the same stage of
life that I am probably remember Rin Tin Tin. He and Lassie
were the smartest dogs in the world. I decided to get a dog
with top of the line bloodlines from a breeder with superior dogs
and superior breeding facility. I also wanted someone who
would be there for me if I had problems.
I
found all this at the home of A.R. and Teresa Jones. I don't
know anything about bloodlines, but I was intrigued by their ads.
I visited their home and became an instant member of the
family! I learned about bloodlines. I was impressed by
the fact that these puppies are only one step away from being pure
born-in-West-Germany champion-pedigree dogs. These dogs met
my "top of the bloodline" desire.
In
the times that I visited the home, I got to play with little fat
bundles of puppies. I learned that Teresa marks each puppy
with a different color collar and charts their habits, medicines
and their personality. Teresa encourages visitors to play
with the puppies as that helps them to get socialized to people.
In these visits, Teresa educated me about these dogs and
helped me decide what kind of a dog I wanted.
Teresa
didn't bat an eye when I told her that I wanted a Rin Tin Tin
female that would be able to understand English before she was
one. In due time, my Heidi was born.
When
the big day came for me to bring Heidi home, I was also showered
with vitamins and minerals, address of the place to obtain the
suggested supplements, advice about feeding, schedule, raising a
puppy and her vaccination record. I discovered how well
Teresa feeds her little weanling puppies after Heidi threw up
twice on the way home. She had more food in her fat little puppy
body than can be imagined.
After
that, I needed help with getting her over being car sick, and some
other puppy behaviors. I quickly discovered that baby Heidi
was, quite possibly, just as smart as I was. She was house
trained in about 2 days. I took Heidi back to Teresa for advice on
how to stop her puppy mouthing and learned some great techniques
while I was there.
Heidi
is now at 7 months old and we have left behind almost all puppy
behaviors. She is anxious to play, but a very calm dog which
is very unusual in my prior experience with puppies. Some of
my former puppies kept their puppy behavior until their 2nd
year.
My
husband and I have started to notice that Heidi is picking up
words from us, as well as gestures. I've already taught her
how to sit by holding up my fist and how to lay down by hold my
hand out flat. No wonder Teresa didn't blink when I told her
that I wanted a dog that would understand English! I think
that this must be an automatic behavior of these dogs as they are
so smart.
Heidi
has a lot of potential that I am not able to reach in my present
ignorant state. I want to be more of a partner to her so I
have just enrolled in a clicker training dog obedience class.
This dog instructor teaches the basics and also offers many
advanced courses in dog training. I believe that the sky is the
limit with an amazing dog like Heidi and an instructor that can
teach us using humane techniques. Heidi and I are going to
have loads of fun in our lifetime together.
I
highly recommend A.R. and Teresa as dog breeders. They have
been there via email, phone and visits when I needed them.
In my opinion, they know everything about German Shepherd Dogs and
have the very best German Shepherd puppy that you can get
anywhere! The difference between their puppies and all my
other puppies are quite staggering!

I would recommend Stoneridge
Shepherds to anyone looking for a show or pet quality shepherd
with an outstanding temperament. Teresa Jones, the owner, was
great to work with and helped me to pick out my first shepherd
puppy. I pretty much left it up to her experienced eye, and I
was not disappointed one bit. The quality of all her breeding
dogs is excellent, and all have wonderful dispositions and are a
joy to be around. My little Tristan has great drive and is going
to make a great obedience and schutzhund dog when he grows up to
be the tank that he is destined to be. He is so smart and
catches on to training very quickly.
The care given to all the dogs is
wonderful also. They are very well taken care of and loved as a
family pet from day one. Teresa will walk you through the whole
process with the most patience I have ever seen, following up
after the purchase to make sure the new addition is thriving.

After searching for GSD breeder for
a long time, we came across Stoneridge Shepherds on the internet.
We contacted Teresa by phone & she was more than willing
to answer any and all questions we had. She was more than willing
and even encouraged us to visit her farm & all of her dogs.
After seeing & playing with Willy, one of her studs, we
couldn't wait to have one of his babies! Our first baby was
Bentley. He is EVERYTHING you could want in a shepherd. Very
protective (especially of his mom) & is more than willing to
play with guests invited into the home. Bentley was in a local pet
store's TV commercial, he also was voted "The Star of the
Class" in puppy obedience school. He is absolutely gorgeous
with an awesome personality.
Our 2nd baby is also one of Willy's
babies, she is a long-haired shepherd named Meishka. She is a
clown! She has an A-1 personality & is the happiest dog we
have ever known. She is so affectionate & is always eager to
please. We love our babies & they have brought so much
joy to our family. As we say, Meishka lights up the world &
Bentley protects it. Stoneridge Shepherds have fulfilled our
dreams of owning a German Shepherd!

In September, 2001, I was very
fortunate to find Stoneridge listed on a web site devoted to
German Shepherd dog breeders. One phone call and a few days
later I sat down with you to discuss the possibility of my
acquiring one of your dogs. At our initial meeting, we
discussed a number of things. But the one thing that stands
out in my memory the most is when you said: "If you
purchase a dog from me, you will have me for the life of your
dog". You went on to explain that I would always be
free to contact you in person, by phone, or by email if I wanted
to discuss anything with you regarding my dog. You certainly
have kept your promise of being available. Over the years, I
have asked you for advice on a number of things and you have
always taken the time to
help me solve my current problem.
After our conversation you took me to look at the two remaining
pups that had not been claimed from a litter of 10. I chose
a male and was told that I could not take him home until he was 9
weeks old. On October 10, 2001, I came to get Buck, who weighed in
at 6.3 lbs., and take him to his new home. Buck is now 2 and
1/2 years old and a svelte 80 lbs.
To be very honest with you,
everywhere I take him, locally, or on the two trips that he has
made with me to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and to
Florida, people constantly remark on what a handsome dog he
is--they usually say "beautiful", but why quibble.
I must admit, even though I am not a vein or jealous person, I am
thinking of making Buck wear a ski mask whenever we go out in
public. Since I do not have a wife or children Buck has been a
great companion. He is fun and intelligent--and to be truthful, he
is a bit spoiled. There are times when he seems almost to be
attached to my hip--he wants to be in on everything. I can
only imagine what he would be like with a child or with children.
So, Teresa it was a very blessed
day that I came upon your name on that breeders web site.

We are so thrilled to write a
testimonial about our positive experiences with Stoneridge
Shepherds! On May 23, 2002 we got Titan, our first German
Shepherd. To say our experience was wonderful...would be
an understatement! We have 2 children (ages 8 and 14) and
2 retail stores to run...hence, a very busy life! However,
my husband and I both began working from home and decided we
were ready for a dog.
After having bad luck with different
dogs in the past, we decided this time we were going to put a
LOT of thought into our decision. We decided on a German
Shepherd. After doing EXTENSIVE research, we found
Stoneridge Shepherds online and called Teresa. From our
first conversation with her, we felt great about her dogs!
It was obvious she was VERY educated on the breed and
she took her job very seriously. It was also obvious how
much she LOVED what she did!
We set up an immediate appointment
to visit Teresa and her dogs. At the time, she had
one male, Willy, and several females. We met Willy and
INSTANTLY fell in love with him! Willy was a beautiful,
regal looking dog...and had an unbelievably lovable personality!
We then went down and visited her female GSD's and were equally
impressed with their beauty and temperaments! We were so
impressed...we put a deposit down on the spot...even though none
of her girls was even pregnant!
To our delight, one of our favorite
females went into heat soon after, and we found out a few weeks
after our visit that a litter was due! Even though I had 2
children already...I felt like I was having another baby!
Teresa kept in touch through phone and e-mail throughout the
entire pregnancy and even let us visit Barbie, the mom, a couple
of weeks before she was due so our kids could see her pregnant!
In addition, knowing how excited we were, Teresa called us
when Barbie was giving birth to the puppies! Throughout
the entire first 6 weeks of the puppies lives, Teresa always
e-mailed us pictures of the puppies as they were
growing...just so we could be a part of the whole process!
At 6 weeks we got to go out and meet
the entire litter on "Puppy Play Day". This is
another wonderful thing that Teresa does! We got to go out
for an hour and meet not only the puppies, but the other people
who would be getting puppies from the litter. This was
great to not only see the individual personalities of the pups,
but, to make contacts with the people who would be getting the
brothers and sisters from the litter to possibly keep in touch
with!
Titan was the puppy we chose, and he
has been the most incredible dog we have ever owned! He is
not only our dog, he is definitely a part of our family.
Titan makes an impression on everyone who meets him! Not
only is he INCREDIBLY smart and beautiful, he is the most loyal,
loving, playful and protective dog we have known. He
is everything wonderful we've ever heard or read about this
breed. And the saying is SO true, once you own a German
Shepherd, you'll never own another breed again!
If you're looking for a quality
German Shepherd with an incredible temperament, you need to look
no further than Stoneridge Shepherds. Not only are these
dogs wonderful specimens of breed, you will never find a breeder
that will make your experience so personal and enjoyable as
Teresa.
We've enjoyed our experience so
much....we had to get another! We're bringing our new
female shepherd pup home from Stoneridge in just a few weeks!

and David Barbour
I first fell in love with my
Shiloh when I saw a picture of her that Teresa e-mailed to me.
My puppy was only 6 weeks old and I knew right away that THIS
was my dog! Actually, I became HER human. She is my best friend
and I consider her a human in fur and 4 paws! She is sweet,
loving, intelligent and the cutest beggar when she wants a
treat. I would never even consider getting a dog anywhere else.
Stoneridge Shepherds rule!!
-Ingrid Stamatson
On February 13, 2003, I brought
home a healthy, beautiful baby boy (puppy) weighing in at 16
pounds and started my long relationship with Teresa Jones, owner
of Stoneridge Shepherds. My puppy came with a care package of
instructions, pictures of mom and dad, a guarantee, a sample
pack of vitamins, a catalog from NuVet Labs (a supplier of
various toys and nutrition products for my new baby) and up to
date shots. I knew immediately that this was a quality animal,
because of all the time and effort that Teresa pours into all of
her animals, because of the organized way from the first
meeting, to the progress of the mother's pregnancy, to the birth
of the puppies, sending me pictures of the puppies, to the puppy
play-day and the final stages of adoption. Teresa Jones truly
does have a love of these animals and a dedication to deliver
top-quality dogs.
After bringing my puppy home, she
has made herself available to me on several occasions to ensure
that I continue to supply the quality care that she brought my
puppy into the world giving him. My dog is now 13 months old and
I have been stopped many times by strangers asking me where I
got this beautiful animal. I have even had people ask me for
permission to take pictures of my dog. He is a rich color of
red, black and tan. And my dog is very intelligent. He is easily
identified as "quality" among many, even among those
who know nothing about dogs.
I am very happy with my dog and
the relationship that I have gained from the purchase of my
animal. I will never buy another dog from anywhere but
Stoneridge Shepherds and recommend Teresa Jones to everyone
interested in acquiring a quality dog. It is worth every penny
spent.
-Geralyn Torres

Casey is my third pure bred
female German Shepherd and the first purchased from Teresa Jones
at Stoneridge. Her facilities are large, clean and very well
maintained. She has a wide selection and composition of males
and females from excellent blood lines. The puppies are
socialized very early and used to being around people as well as
other animals. Casey is one year old and has become my best
friend. She was very easy to train, is very intelligent,
friendly to people and other animals, and loves to play (with
others or by herself). She has developed a wonderful
personality. I will definitely go back to Stoneridge to obtain a
sister for Casey to play with.
-Shirley D. Morrow, CPESC
Teresa Jones of Stoneridge German
Shepherd Dogs has the BEST quality of the breed. All of them are
gorgeous and from one of the BEST lines a person could ask for
in a German Shepherd Dog. Her kennels are very well kept and
very impressive! She herself has a very outgoing personality and
is one of the best breeders I know. She KNOWS her Shepherds VERY
well. We bought one of her "top of the line" girls for
our friend, who lost his wife almost a year ago, and the
companionship that she has given him has totally changed his
life. He says that he couldn't live without his little girl now.
My daughter was so impressed that she had to get one of her
littermates. They are amazed at how smart the German Shepherd
dog can be and at only 3 months old, they already know the
"sit" and "stay" command. VERY SMART! Top
Quality all the way!
-Jackie Keithly
When we met Teresa for the first
time, we were greeted with a smile and genuine warmth. You can
tell that she really loves and enjoys what she does. Teresa
takes great pride and joy in her work and her Shepherds. Her
excitement and enthusiasm for her Shepherds quickly spread to
us. We really got into the adoption process. She made it an
enjoyable and exciting experience. Not only is she our breeder
for as long as we continue to buy German Shepherds, but Teresa
has also become a very dear, close friend of the family. We can
call on her anytime we have a question about "The
Boys".
When you are
adopting one of Teresa's Shepherds, it's unlike anything you
have ever experienced before. You are not just adopting a dog!
It's like you are adopting a child. They are a very high quality
of Shepherd. The best you can buy. We are totally satisfied with
Willie and Ky. They are wonderful with kids. They get along
wonderfully with our two other dogs, a Mastiff and Pomeranian.
They were easy to train and very obedient. They absolutely love
to ride. And they are very alert. The first night we brought Ky
home he heard some noise outside. He got up and started barking
and wouldn't stop until we went to check it out. On top of all
that, he wanted to go with us to check it out. Willie and Ky are
great dogs. As a matter of fact, we don't even like to call them
dogs. We call them family because that's how wonderful they are.
They are very affectionate and love to talk.
When
you go to Teresa's Kennel, it is an immaculate and extraordinary
environment. She runs a very tight ship and schedule. Words
can't even begin to describe how hard Teresa works to bring
people quality Shepherds. But I do know one thing, adopting one
of her Shepherds in the best investment. You won't regret it. I
guarantee.
-Edna Walker & Family
I strongly recommend Stoneridge
Shepherds to anyone who is shopping for a great dog. Teresa is
wonderfully flexible and easy to work with, she was great about
understanding the special circumstances that came with being a
college student and buying a dog. I have been very impressed with
the effort Teresa makes to stay in contact with me about any
questions or concerns I have about being a new owner. And to top
it off, we got the best dog on the planet. Our Bella is a strong,
smart and very healthy dog (and I also think she might be the most
beautiful dog around--but I am a little biased). I couldn't ask
for anything better!
-Madeline Hermann
I can't say enough good about the
dogs at Stoneridge Kennels. I found the exact beautiful dog that I
was looking for. She is not only beautiful, smart and all I was
looking for, she has a great pedigree. I wanted a dog with a
German import background, she has all that too. If I was able to
have more Shepherds, I wouldn't go anywhere but Stoneridge.
Teresa runs a nice, clean kennel
and she was very good to help us find what we were looking for.
Her Shepherds are quality, I would highly recommend her and her
dogs to anyone that wants a top of the line German Shepherd.

Kathy and I wanted to send you a note about our wonderful experience
with Stoneridge.
We set out in 2005 looking for a puppy to bring into our home since our current shepherds health was failing. After much searching about the breed and breeders I came across Stoneridge. When we first spoke on the phone you answered all of our questions and invited us to come visit you. After taking a short drive we arrived at Stoneridge. You showed us some of the nicest shepherds. A great facility and allowed us to see a litter of pups that were soon to be going to new homes. As you know Kathy fell in love with the ball of fluff that would be a long coated shepherd and would be known to our family as Maximus (Max). The quality of shepherds that you raise is amazing. Personality, temperament, coat are all wonderful. We followed your guidelines and feel that Max is a great addition to our family. He is not only great with our girls but our other two dogs also. Max is very smart and was easily trained. Max spent a few weeks at a training facility and returned home even smarter. I really wanted a shepherd that Kathy could handle and have the same connection with Max that she has with our white shepherd. We always have people tell us how well behaved Max is and what a beautiful coat. I am sure we have given your name and Stoneridge out to many of our friends that are looking for a shepherd. I enjoy keeping in contact with you so you can see Max as he grows with his new family. Thanks so much for the quality that you are determined to achieve with your shepherds.
Hope you enjoy the picture of Max.
Thanks
Lee and Kathy Bonn

Zorra is exceeding all expectations. She exemplifies the traditional GS traits, combining them with unusual intelligence and decision making capabilities. She retains a sweet disposition that is friendly and open to newcomers. She recalls all guests, greeting their return visits with warm enthusiasm.
She fully embraces Schutzhund training principles, responding eagerly to all the disciplines asked of her. She loves "working", racing deer-often winning the race. Even when her forepaw was badly lacerated during a recreational run with her littermate Lobo, she unflinchingly completed the long afternoon.
Her behavior is consistently tender and maternal toward young, small creatures of all species. In new situations she calmly assesses what her involvement, if any, should be. She is not easily flustered or spooked.
Zorra is a certified therapy dog that brings smiles and a ray of sunshine to all patients that she encounters when making her "rounds". She started her therapy dog career as a five month old puppy! You can see her picture doing therapy work on the main page of Teresa's web site.
Zorra, now two years old, is maturing into an outstanding companion with charm, emotional stability and an exceptional work ethic. We anticipate a fine litter from her first breeding when matched with a sire from Stroneridge Kennel.

Having had the pleasure of dealing with Teresa and "Stoneridge Shepherds" twice, I found ech time complete satisfaction not only with the dog I chose, but also with the outstanding service provided by Teresa, including the interest shown and the follow up. She was always available to give a few pointers and small pieces of timely advice so useful when raising a puppy to adulthood. My dog Lobo started out as one of such loving puppies and has evolved into a healthy, strong and smart companion. I have enjoyed my daily walks through woods and fields with him. His OFA hip exam at two years turned out good. He is registered for trials with the USA and DVG organizations and is scheduled for the BH test on the DVG trial with the Nebraska Schutzhund Club next month. Having followed the news on the Stoneridge Shepherds website, it is evident that Teresa has continued to acquire outstanding representatives of the German Shepherd breed and should I consider purchasing another dog I would contact her first.
Without a dog you'ld miss the wagging of the tail,
You'd miss the plaintive, pleading wail,
You'd miss the wistful loving glance,
You'd miss the circling welcome dance.
